The mAT-1500ProII is a multipurpose high-power automatic antenna tuner that can match almost all transmitters and linear amplifiers. The maximum RF power allowed is 1500 watts (SSB), the frequency range allowed is 1.8-30MHz, and two antennas can be connected at the same time.
According to the different connected transmitters, the tuner has three modes: YAESU, ICOM and GENERAL. The tuner can automatically determine and match the type of the connected transmitters to minimize manual operation.
The mAT-1500ProII can accurately measure the current RF power and SWR, and display them on a 4.3-inch high-resolution display. The display can also show information such as the working status of the tuner. When the tuner is set to BYPASS mode, it can be used as an accurate RF power & SWR meter.
When the mAT-1500ProII is working in GENERAL mode, in addition to manual operation on the front panel, it can also be remotely operated. There is an RS232 remote control interface on the rear panel of the tuner, which can be easily controlled by a computer or another terminal device. The remote operation function can only be used in GENERAL mode.
The tuner adopts an all-aluminum casing and CNC panel, which looks beautiful and sturdy, and is relatively light in weight.
Operation Modes
GENERAL Mode
The tuner working in this mode can adapt to almost all transmitters. When connected to DC power supply only (without any adapter Cable), the tuner automatically enters GENERAL mode. Manual tuning and ONLINE/BYPASS setting required.
YAESU Mode
When connected to a YAESU transmitter via mAT-CY adapter Cable, the transmitter controls the tuner through the cable and powers the tuner. Fully compatible with YAESU brand tuners (FC-30, FC-40, FC-50).
ICOM Mode
When connected to an ICOM or KENWOOD transmitter via mAT-CI or mAT-CK adapter Cable, the transmitter controls the tuner through the cable and provides power. Most ICOM and KENWOOD transceivers can operate directly with our tuner.
Front Panel
The front panel features a 4.3-inch high-resolution LCD (800x480 pixels) that displays:
Display Information:
- Operation mode - GENERAL, YAESU or ICOM
- RF power - Digital display (PEP and AVG) and bar graph with three ranges (15W, 150W, 1500W)
- Current SWR - Accurate SWR measurement independent of RF power
- Status indicators - Antenna selection, PTT channel status, last button pressed, tuner status (ONLINE, BYPASS, TUNING)
Control Buttons:
- LUP, LDN, CUP, CDN - Fine-tune LC loop for lower SWR
- PTT-DISC - PTT channel switch
- ONLINE - Switch between ONLINE (tuner active) and BYPASS (RF direct connection)
- TUNE - Start tuning cycle (GENERAL mode only)
- RANGE - Cycle RF power scale ranges
- ANT-SEL - Select between ANT1 and ANT2 sockets
- POW/BAC - Power on/off (GENERAL mode) and screen brightness control
Calibration Note
When you feel the deviation of the RF power indication of the tuner is too large, you can perform calibration by opening the case. Please refer to the calibration document for specific operation methods. The SWR indication of the tuner is accurate and does not need to be calibrated.
Rear Panel
Rear Panel Connectors:
- RF-IN - RF input from transmitter or linear amplifier
- ANT1, ANT2 - Dual antenna outputs (selectable via front panel)
- GND - Ground terminal for system performance
- ICOM & Kenwood - Adapter Cable socket for ICOM (mAT-CI) or KENWOOD (mAT-CK)
- YAESU - Adapter Cable socket for YAESU transmitters (mAT-CY)
- DC - 12-14V DC power input (minimum 2.0A)
- REMOTE - RS232 remote control interface (GENERAL mode only)
- PTT IN - Transmitter PTT signal input (RCA cable included)
- PTT OUT - PTT signal output to linear amplifier (RCA cable included)
Connection Priority:
If multiple connections exist, tuner mode priority is: YAESU > ICOM > GENERAL
Important Safety Notes
PTT Control: It is strongly recommended to use the PTT IN and PTT OUT sockets to control PTT signal transmission between transmitter and linear amplifier. During tuning, the amplifier is prevented from amplifying low-power RF signals to avoid tuner damage.
YAESU Transmitters: PTT signal is already included in mAT-CY adapter Cable. If other cables (like ACC) contain PTT signals, disconnect them to prevent amplifier activation during tuning.
Important Note
When using mAT-CY adapter Cable for Yaesu transmitters, this tuner is only compatible with existing modern Yaesu transmitters. It cannot guarantee good compatibility with Yaesu transmitters that will be released in the future.

Unlike common SWR meters, the mAT-1500ProII uses a high-precision RF-specific measurement chip to accurately measure the antenna's SWR. The measured SWR has nothing to do with RF power, and unlike other meters, the detected SWR will not deteriorate with the increase of RF power.
Through the RS232 socket, users can use computers or other terminal devices to control the operation of the tuner. It is a universal control interface that only requires a few simple commands to control all operations of the tuner.
